RC Felicity/Charlieville

Empowering Young Girls is an ongoing Project which includes the partnership of Rotary Club Felicity/Charlieville and our Rotaract Club in collaboration with the Jaya Lakshmi Home.

 

Gender inclusiveness has been a focal point of discussion in Society. Whilst there have been significant improvements via visibility of more Women in the Corporate world; we still note that there is a lot to be done. Empowering young women can transcend to social transformation and eradication of Poverty.

 

The value of this project will seek to aid in the development of Peace Building which ncludes creating agents for positive change, co-existing with the opposite gender finding that equal place without conflict, strengthening the resilience via educating the Girls on key fundamentals such as: discussions on menstrual health and hygiene, Conflict Resolution and Mentoring.

 

The project will also integrate environmental care with a view of encouraging planting of home-grown foods, this seeks to educate the girls on a micro-level sustainable Agriculture. The effort of this project is supporting our young girls of today via developing/ Empowering our Leaders of tomorrow.
