PolioPlus Society

Someone once said that it would be unthinkable if Rotary ever stopped supporting Polio Eradication – decades of commitment would be lost and Rotary would be known as the organization that allowed Polio to become endemic again.
 
Fortunately Rotary is in the business of Doing Good in the World and members of the Rotary family are committed until every last child and the world is polio-free. 

As part of the Rotary family in District7030 and supporters of Polio Eradication – Rotary’s #1 Priority – you are invited and encouraged to support the Countdown to History to #EndPolioNow and become a member of the District 7030 PolioPlus Society.

While not yet an official Rotary International program, the PolioPlus Society has been around in some form since 2012 and is now formally recognized and supported in several Districts and Zones across the globe, as well as, endorsed by Rotary International.

As such, District 7030's Polio Plus Society program is designed to promote individual giving to the PolioPlus Fund where members, partners-in-service and friends of Rotary, Rotaract and Satellite clubs are invited to join Rotary's efforts to continue to raise funds to eradicate Polio.

Your commitment to joining the District 7030 PolioPlus Society provides a significant increase to the contributions to #EndPolioNow and, of course, all donations will receive a 2 to 1 match by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. 

 

 

To become a member of the District 7030 PolioPlus Society, you are asked to commit to making an annual donation of US $100 (or more) to The Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus Fund until such time that Polio is completely eradicated and the World Health Organization certifies the world free of Polio.

Please note that your contributions shall also earn you Foundation Recognition Points which not only count towards your PHF/Donor status, but, are also transferable to other members or your club.

1. Login to My Rotary (where possible) to ensure your contribution and foundation recognition points are counted towards your name
2. Go to https://www.endpolio.org/donate or https://my.rotary.org/en/donate for one-time contributions OR https://my.rotary.org/en/rotary-direct to set-up recurring donations
3. Ensure your select the Polio Fund
4. Enter all necessary information
5. Set up an appropriate recurring donation frequency (monthly, quarterly, annually) if desired so you do not forget each year
6. Please save the payment confirmation number upon completing your contribution.

 

• Member – Minimum annual cumulative contribution of US $100 to the PolioPlus Fund*
• Gold Member – Minimum annual cumulative contribution of US $250 to the PolioPlus Fund*
• Platinum Member – Minimum annual cumulative contribution of US $500 to the PolioPlus Fund*
• Diamond Member – Minimum annual cumulative contribution of US $1000 to the PolioPlus Fund*

RAPPELS

1. Toute contribution unique/non récurrente versée au Fonds PolioPlus avant l'année rotarienne en cours NE comptera PAS dans votre qualification ou votre éligibilité pour devenir membre ou maintenir votre adhésion à la Société PolioPlus du District 7030 – seules les contributions récentes effectuées après le 1er juillet doit être reconnu.
2. Toute contribution versée à un autre fonds de la Fondation Rotary (par exemple, Fonds annuel/SHARE, dotation, secours aux sinistrés, etc.) NE SERA PAS prise en compte dans votre qualification ou votre éligibilité pour devenir membre ou maintenir votre adhésion à la Société PolioPlus du District 7030 – seulement les contributions à le Fonds PolioPlus doit être reconnu.
3. Vous devez fournir votre numéro de confirmation de paiement reçu de la Fondation Rotary lors de votre contribution minimale préférée
4. Pour conserver votre statut au sein de la Société PolioPlus du District 7030, il vous sera demandé de fournir une copie de votre confirmation de contribution de la Fondation Rotary une fois par an au plus tard le 01 juillet.
5. Les contributions au Fonds PoloPlus faites au nom d'un club ou d'une autre organisation NE SONT PAS prises en compte pour la qualification ou l'éligibilité d'un individu à l'adhésion à la société PolioPlus du District 7030
6. Les contributions au Fonds PoloPlus effectuées par chèque, dépôt direct et/ou virement bancaire ne seront reconnues que si la preuve de cette contribution est fournie sous la forme d'un numéro de confirmation de contribution de la Fondation Rotary.
