Together Rotary International and World Health Organization (WHO) are partnering to create a healthier future for mothers and children.

Focusing on the "Beyond" is the aim to highlight the value of building on the investments already made to #EndPolio.

Focusing on the “Beyond” aims at highlighting the added value of building on the investments already made by #EndPolioNow in polio eradication and, by extension, the immunization agenda, thus supporting the work force to not only vaccinate but also strengthen the capacity to track suspect cases, diagnose them with additional investments in laboratories, and monitor overall programmatic performance towards its goal. ‘Going beyond’ will ensure that the children saved from polio and, together with their mothers, from other vaccine preventable diseases are able to benefit from life-saving services; mothers will then have a positive experience of their pregnancy and young children will achieve their full developmental potential.

Join Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organization (WHO) director-general, and #Rotary President Jennifer Jones, as they discuss the state of polio eradication and its broader relevance to global health. This live event will address not only the status of polio eradication and what’s next, but also the potential for community-based solutions to improve global health, particularly as it relates to maternal-child health.
