At the 2023 Rotary International Convention in Melbourne one of the breakout sessions - The Power of Video to Tell Our Rotary Stories - allowed for members of the Rotary family to learn more about using video to promote our Rotary service.

There are many good reasons to encourage project leaders to commission videos:

  1. Connect with a wider audience: Videos can reach a larger audience than written content, and are more likely to engage people emotionally. By creating videos that tell your Rotary story, you can capture people's attention and inspire them to take action.
  2. Showcase the impact of Rotary: Rotary volunteers are making a difference in their communities every day, but sometimes it can be difficult to communicate that impact to others. Videos can help to visualize and showcase the positive impact of Rotary projects and initiatives.
  3. Boost engagement on social media: Videos are highly shareable on social media platforms and are more likely to be viewed and shared by users than other types of content. By sharing videos that tell your Rotary story, you can increase engagement and interest in your Rotary club or organization.
  4. Provide a powerful tool for fundraising: Videos can be a powerful tool for fundraising by showing the impact of donations and inspiring others to give. By highlighting the stories of those who have been positively impacted by Rotary's work, you can help donors see the real-world impact of their contributions.
  5. Encourage collaboration: Videos can be a great way to bring people together and encourage collaboration within your Rotary club or district. By showcasing the diverse perspectives and voices within your organization, you can help to build stronger connections and a sense of shared purpose.
