On October 15th, 2022, the four clubs of Rotary Suriname, Innerwheel Paramaribo, a renowned local eyewear’s shop and country club Oase successfully organized a Health Walk to increase awareness for the health highlights of September and October: breast cancer, heart diseases in women, end polio and childhood obesity.
Rotary Suriname supports prevention of these health issues by creating awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Information on these diseases was available at Rotary Quota booths situated nearby the start of the walk.
Approximately 2500-3000 participants walked 5km through Paramaribo. They consisted of individuals and groups from companies.
Le 15 octobre 2022, les quatre clubs du Rotary Suriname, Innerwheel Paramaribo, un magasin de lunettes local renommé et le Country Club Oase ont organisé avec succès une marche pour la santé afin de sensibiliser le public aux problèmes de santé les plus marquants de septembre et d'octobre : le cancer du sein, les maladies cardiaques chez les femmes, la fin de la polio et l'obésité infantile.
Le Rotary Suriname soutient la prévention de ces problèmes de santé par la sensibilisation et la promotion d'un mode de vie sain. Des informations sur ces maladies étaient disponibles aux stands du Rotary Club de Quota situés à proximité du départ de la marche.
