The Rotary Club of San Fernando, Trinidad, is off to a great start this Rotary year! With several service projects already under their belt, the club is leading the way forward in their community. In July, the Club distributed scholarships to six (6) students from Pointe-A-Pierre Government Primary School and Mon Repos RC Primary School who were successful in their secondary school entrance examinations. Worth TT $500 each, these scholarships were to assist these young persons in purchasing school supplies.

Efforts did not stop there!

The Club also presented the Navet and Mon Repos Community with a donation for their Annual Senior Citizens Christmas Luncheon.

And finally...

On 18th August 2016, Rotarians from RC San Fernando visited Haven of Hope – a home to 16 children (9 girls and 7 boys) – and delivered much needed back to school supplies in the form of books, stationary, book bags and uniforms.

Each child was sponsored by a Rotarian or a friend of Rotary and everyone agreed that it would be a privilege to continue supporting the children of Haven of Hope in the future.

The Club also made a decision to celebrate the birthdays of the children at the home bringing  cake , ice cream, party bags, gifts and food over the coming months.
