ENVIRONMENT ACTION with High School
In partnership with the Lycée professionnel Jean Marie Michotte in Cayenne, the Rotary Club of Cayenne is launching an educational project with a group of students on the development of the school's green spaces to raise awareness of environmental action in the form of a challenge.
The students will be accompanied by Mrs. Laurence BENOIT, English teacher in the school, and Mr. Marcello NUNEZ, responsible for the high school students' house.
The pedagogical projects can be declined under different themes:
- plant wall
- Plantation (flower box)
- Vegetable garden
- Medicinal plants area
Until the end of the 2023 school year, the Rotary Club of Cayenne will regularly monitor the progress of the projects and is committed to a long-term project with the school and thus
pursue environmental awareness with the youth.
Annual Golf Fundraiser
As every year, the Rotary Club of Cayenne organizes its fundraising operation, namely a golf competition.
This operation mobilizes the club and its members upstream for several weeks to find sponsors, organize logistics and communication of the event.
On the day of the event, the cohesion of all the members of the club made it possible to welcome the sponsors with conviviality so that they perceive the importance of the event for the club and the motivation to collect funds to be able to support the most vulnerable.
Our club is proud to have raised nearly 24,000 euros in this beautiful harmony!
ACTION EN MATIÈRE D'ENVIRONNEMENT avec le lycée et le RC CAYENNE
En partenariat avec le Lycée professionnel Jean Marie Michotte de Cayenne, le Rotary Club de Cayenne a mis en place un programme de formation à l'intention des jeunes.
Cayenne lance un projet éducatif avec un groupe d'étudiants sur le développement de la Les espaces verts de l'école pour sensibiliser à l'action environnementale sous la forme d'un défi.
Les élèves seront accompagnés par Mme Laurence BENOIT, professeur d'anglais à l'école, et par le directeur de l'école.
M. Marcello NUNEZ, responsable de la maison des lycéens.
Les projets pédagogiques peuvent être déclinés sous différents thèmes :
- mur végétal
- Plantation (bac à fleurs)
- Jardin potager
- Zone de plantes médicinales
Jusqu'à la fin de l'année scolaire 2023, le Rotary Club de Cayenne assurera un suivi régulier de l'état d'avancement du projet.
L'école a été informée de l'état d'avancement des projets et s'est engagée dans un projet à long terme avec l'école, ce qui lui a permis d'atteindre ses objectifs de développement sensibiliser les jeunes à l'environnement.
La cohésion du Rotary Club de Cayenne pour son opération Golf fundraising (octobre 2022)
Comme chaque année, le Rotary Club de Cayenne organise son opération de collecte de fonds, à savoir une compétition de golf.
Cette opération mobilise le club et ses membres en amont pendant plusieurs semaines pour trouver des sponsors, organiser la logistique et la communication de l'événement.
Le jour de l'événement, la cohésion de tous les membres du club a permis d'accueillir les sponsors avec convivialité afin qu'ils perçoivent l'importance de l'événement pour le club et la motivation à collecter des fonds pour pouvoir soutenir les plus vulnérables.
Notre club est fier d'avoir récolté près de 24 000 euros dans cette belle harmonie !
