On 24th October 2020, Rotary District 7030, along with Districts 7000 and 7020, proudly and jointly presented the first ever One Caribbean Multi-District World Polio Day Event.

This milestone initiative marked the coming together of all three districts within the Caribbean Region for one purpose and under one unifying banner - to End Polio Now!

With messages in English, Spanish and French from all three District Governors, Rotarians and Rotaractors, as well as, well-known personalities, health and medical officials, this multi-language event demonstrated that we were all untied as a Caribbean people in our recognition of World Polio Day, we were all committed in our effort to raise awareness and maintain the importance of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, and, we were all reaffirmed to continue supporting Rotary and its PolioPlus Fund to rid the world of Polio.

Highlights of the event included Polio survivor stories from Dr. Emmanuel Hosein and Rotarian John Nanni and special fundraising initiatives by Districts 7020 with its creation of a World's Greatest Meal event via raise.rotary.org; and District 7030 in the form of a special half-price offer to first time Paul Harris Fellows.

It is without a doubt that this event has laid the foundation upon which our Caribbean Districts will build future collaborations and joint-initiatives to best leverage our collective resources, memberships and goals and it is quite fitting that such a collaboration started under one of Rotary's highest priorities - to End Polio Now.
