A delegation of Rotarians welcomed Leslie Ramdhany, Governor of District 7030, 2022-2023, in the lounge of honor of the Pôle caraïbes airport.
 
 
A busy week was on the agenda of his visit.  meetings with clubs, with beneficiaries of Rotary services, but also with local government officials and representatives of the French government.
 
During this week, DG Leslie met with the leaders of the 8 rotary clubs as well as those of Rotaract and Interact. Presentation of the clubs, projects, financial situation, membership trends, DG Leslie made a detailed panorama of the health of the Rotary in Guadeloupe.
 
During this week, he was able to appreciate the work of the clubs by immersing himself in the key projects of the Rotary year.
 
 
The environment with the Blue Bubble project of the RC Pointe à Pitre which wants to sensitize the youngest to the problem of waste and to help their first steps in recycling.
 
 
At the heart of the action with the RC Basse Terre and the delivery of furniture and appliances for the victims of the storm Fiona. Strong emotion in front of the thanks to the Rotary of those who lost everything and who thanks to this project can reintegrate their house.
 
 
It is with the RC Grande Terre Pointe des Chateaux that DG Leslie experienced the physical handicap by taking his place on a wheelchair and being hoisted to join the boats adapted to disabled people who thanks to this club can now know the joys of sailing. More emotion in front of the joy and the recognition expressed by the disabled people.
 
 
The private plane is waiting for us on the tarmac. And it's off to Marie-Galante. The RC Marie-galante is on all fronts. The solidarity grocery, the telethon, the handicap, the training of the young people and more. DG Leslie is impressed by the energy of this club.
 
 
The environment and education for sustainable development dear to DG Leslie are on the agenda with the visit of an aquaponic farm, a project of the RC Grande terre Pointe des chateaux.
 
 
 
But this week with DG Leslie, it was meetings with important personalities of Guadeloupe, including the Mayor of Pointe à Pitre, the Rector of the Academy of Guadeloupe, the Préfet of Guadeloupe who is the highest representation of the French state.
 
It was also good food, laughter and songs, dancing and rum to celebrate the Rotary friendship and joy in Rotary service.

Une délégation de Rotariens a accueilli Leslie Ramdhany, Gouverneur 2022-2023 du District 7030, dans le salon d'honneur de l'aéroport Pôle caraïbes.
 
Une semaine bien remplie était au programme de sa visite. Des rencontres avec des clubs, avec des bénéficiaires des services du Rotary, mais aussi avec des responsables locaux et des représentants du Gouvernement Français.
 
Durant cette semaine, le DG Leslie a rencontré les dirigeants des 8 clubs rotariens ainsi que ceux du Rotaract et de l'Interact. Présentation des clubs, projets, situation financière, évolution de l'effectif, DG Leslie a dressé un panorama détaillé de la santé du Rotary en Guadeloupe.
 
Durant cette semaine, il a pu apprécier le travail des clubs en se plongeant dans les actions clés de l'année rotarienne.
 
L'environnement avec le projet Blue Bubble de la RC Pointe à Pitre qui veut sensibiliser les plus jeunes au problème des déchets et les aider à faire leurs premiers pas dans le recyclage.
 
Au cœur de l'action avec le RC Basse Terre et la livraison de meubles et d'appareils pour les victimes de la tempête Fiona. Forte émotion devant les remerciements au Rotary de ceux qui ont tout perdu et qui grâce à ce projet peuvent réintégrer leur maison.
 
C'est avec le RC Grande Terre Pointe des Châteaux que DG Leslie a fait l'expérience du handicap physique en prenant place sur un fauteuil roulant et en étant hissé pour rejoindre les bateaux adaptés aux personnes handicapées qui grâce à ce club peuvent désormais connaître les joies de la voile. Plus d'émotion devant la joie et la reconnaissance exprimées par les personnes handicapées.
 
L'avion privé nous attend sur le tarmac. Et c'est parti pour Marie-Galante. Le RC Marie-Galante est sur tous les fronts. L'épicerie solidaire, le téléthon, le handicap, la formation des jeunes et plus encore. DG Leslie est impressionnée par l'énergie de ce club.
 
L'environnement et l'éducation au développement durable chers à DG Leslie sont au programme avec la visite d'une ferme aquaponique, un projet du RC Grande terre Pointe des châteaux.
 
Mais cette semaine avec DG Leslie, il s'agissait de rencontres avec des personnalités importantes de la Guadeloupe, dont le Maire de Pointe à Pitre, le Recteur de l'Académie de Guadeloupe, le Préfet de Guadeloupe qui est la plus haute représentation de l'Etat français.
 
C'était aussi de la bonne nourriture, des rires et des chansons, de la danse et du rhum pour célébrer l'amitié rotarienne et la joie du service rotarien.
