In January 2020, when I announced my presidential theme, Rotary Opens Opportunities, and spoke of the changes that Rotary needed to embrace, none of us had any idea how quickly change would arrive. But I am a longtime believer in seeing challenges as opportunities. This year, we seized new opportunities to reimagine what Rotary could be. For years, we had discussed ways to make Rotary flexible and adaptable, and we had tried a few experiments. This year, we all experimented — and succeeded! Online meetings are a regular fixture now as clubs invite guests from across the globe.
There are so many opportunities waiting for us that will help us change the world. Let’s seize them together and get ready to open doors to achieving greater things. And as we open these doors to new ideas, our minds and our hearts also open. Remember that everything we do in Rotary opens another opportunity for someone, somewhere.

District Governor Lisle Chase Monthly Message
2020/2021 has been a Rotary year like no other I have experienced in my thirty-eight (38) years as a Rotarian. Winston Churchill once said that “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” As I am an optimist, I can honestly say that this year has been one filled with opportunities, to connect; to serve; to grow and to have fun. Our theme for this Rotary year – Rotary Opens Opportunities, is amazingly to the point, both for Rotarians and Rotaractors alike.
Dream big my family, work hard to make your dreams reality. Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.
I urge you all to please support our Rotary Foundation. Through TRF we are doing amazing work across the globe and in our communities.
Thank you for sharing your passion, your energy and your love. Maggie and I will cherish the friendships that have been made and we look forward to a time when we will meet you all in the flesh. It has been our honour and privilege to serve Rotary District 7030 as Governor (Team Leader).

2021 District 7030 Awards Ceremony
District 7030 completed its first ever Virtual Awards, hosted live via Zoom and streamed on Facebook. The gala event brought Rotarians together to “Celebrate the Power of Rotary.” District Governor Lisle expressed gratitude to all Rotarians who contributed to the success of the year and persevered through the challenges of a pandemic and natural disasters like the eruption of La Soufriere Volcano in St. Vincent. The event focused on the surviving past district governors, the present outstanding clubs and Rotarians and a glimpse of the future leaders of District 7030. The morale and spirit of Rotarians from across the district was lifted with the high profile event that reminded us that “Rotarians are Awesome” as emphasized by the key note speaker PDG of 6890 - George Robertson Burnett. DG Lisle was commended for his dedication and contribution to the district and we were all assured that being a member of the Rotary Family makes us all “WINNERS”.
