2022 PETS Online
Rotary District 7030 recognizes that over the last two years for PETS (President-Elect Training Seminar), the mandatory training was considered “Pre-PETS” and it was also open to all members. This was based on an expectation each year that an in-person conference would eventually be held with sessions specially dedicated to PETS.
We were all happy and grateful to experience the many speakers and topics over the last two years, particularly as we would have not been able to host such high profile and high-caliber speakers at a traditional in-person event – not to mention the added benefit of having District 7030 fully fund all on-line sessions and provide them at no cost to members.
However, this year, there will be no “Pre-PETS”. District 7030 shall be hosting PETS 2022 fully and solely for President- Elects and Secretary-Elects to be held online only, beginning February 24th 2022. Should there be an in-person conference in Barbados, a final wrap up session – titled “Budgeting for Booze” – will be appropriately scheduled and organized as more of a networking event for President-Elects and Secretary-Elects with a small element of training… more to come on this at later date.
So… This means that all President Elects and Secretary Elects are required to register for PETS 2022 via the District 7030 Conference website (www.districtconference7030.com) and pay the required fee of US$75 per person.
Please note that there are currently two relevant registration options inclusive of PETS 2022: 1) Register for PETS only; and 2) Register for PETS and Conference. Please visit the District 7030 conference website to register at your earliest convenience - PETS 2022 agenda shall be circulated shortly.
The District Training Committee will be tracking registration and, closer to the start date of PETS 2022, you will each receive an email with the necessary meeting details, Zoom links , credentials, etc.
As we close in on our 3rd year of the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions it forces us to endure, we trust that you each better understand and appreciate the relevant and associated costs involved in organizing and executing district events such as PETS, regardless of if such are held online or in-person, and would therefore treat this year’s PETS sessions with firm commitment and enthusiasm.
As a reminder, please be sure to complete the President and Secretary Learning Plans and Courses in the Rotary Learning Centre prior to the start of PETS 2022.
All President-Elects and Secretary-Elects in District 7030 are invited and expected to attend the appropriate sessions
