The main goal of this Zoom event is ; Promoting Rotary Fellowships and Rotary Action Groups to all District 7030 Rotarians, Rotaractors and other interested persons.

So this initiative could be the start of getting more members participating in the fellowships and action groups.

Rotary Fellowships are international groups that share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.

Action Groups are independent, Rotary affiliated groups made up of people from around the world who are experts in a particular field, such as economic development, peace, addiction prevention, the environment, or water.

Action groups offer their technical expertise and support to help clubs plan and implement projects to increase our impact, one of Rotary's strategic priorities. This support includes helping clubs find partners, funding, and other resources. Action groups can also help clubs and districts prepare grant applications, conduct community assessments, and develop plans to monitor and evaluate their projects.

Anyone who wants to share their expertise to make a positive difference can join an action group. Only Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Rotary Peace Fellows can serve in leadership roles.

Next to our district 7030 members, we are also inviting Rotarians from our sister District 7020 as other interested Rotarians/Rotaractors as well.

Furthermore fellows and members of those action groups and fellowships are also invited through the guest speakers.

After the opening by PDG Waddy Sowma, we are honored that DG Lisle Chase will start with the general introduction, he will explain why it is a good added value to join one of the fellowships or groups.

Our selected presentations are starting with Gary Williams, the International Chairman of the International Fellowship of Cricket-Loving Rotarians, West Indies Chapter, launched in 2018 in Trinidad , which was also attended by the DG of 2018 Waddy Sowma.

The next presentation is from the International fellowship of Rotarian Musicians, by Rod Fivelstad, who is the Global Chairman. IFRM started in 1972 to promote and encourage the use and appreciation of music in Rotary clubs by Rotarians in our society and, thereby, to encourage world understanding.

The first Action group presenter is Executive Director Reem Ghunaim from the RAG for Peace, based in Portland, Oregon USA. RAGFP’s mission is to educate, engage and empower Rotarians to build positive peace.

Last but not least is our D7030 Environmental Sustainability Chair Matt Render, presenter for the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group. RI President Holger champions ESRAG, on a video challenge he showcased the wealth of ways Rotarians are striving to save the planet.

Do not miss this meeting, our excellent chosen speakers are deepening the meaning of being a Rotarian. For more information please check the following links :
