THE FUTURE IS NOW !
When Clubs Delegates chosen me to be District Governor the 16th of April 2011, I didn’t think that I will be responsible of “Future Vision” Plan launch in our District 7030.
We were successful in the first step: both District and all Clubs are certified!
Now, we have to assist our communities by supporting clubs projects: the District Foundation Committee will have a fundamental role this year in the implementation of the new grants system.
In addition of Rotary Foundation new process, we will have to success in a important work to have a transparent and comprehensive district: define Constitution and By-laws which the participation of any Rotarian in the District 7030.
The objectives shared in Granada will allow clubs and district leaders to have a guideline for better visibility and more efficiency of action of Rotary International in the Southern Caribbean and the three Guianas.
I thank each of you for the support that you have given me and for your commitment to serve above self.

Le 16 avril 2011, lorsque les représentants des Clubs ont ratifié ma nomination à la fonction de District Gouverneur, j’étais loin de penser que je porterai la responsabilité du lancement du Plan « Vision pour l’Avenir » pour le District 7030.
Nous avons réussi la première étape : notre District et l’ensemble des clubs qui en font partie sont certifiés!
Il nous faut maintenant répondre aux besoins de nos communautés en finançant les projets des clubs : la commission Fondation du District sera donc un acteur majeur au succès du nouveau modèle de subventions.
En complément à cette restructuration de l’intervention de la Fondation Rotary, nous allons initier un chantier majeur pour le fonctionnement de notre District : la définition de statuts et règlement intérieur où chaque Rotarien du District sera appelé à apporter sa contribution.
Les objectifs partagés à Grenade vont permettre aux dirigeants des clubs et du district d’avoir une ligne directrice pour une meilleure visibilité et plus d’efficacité de l’action du Rotary International dans la Caraïbe et les trois Guyanes.
Je remercie chacun d’entre vous pour le soutien que vous m’avez apporté et pour votre engagement à servir d’abord.
