On Thursday 15th December 2016, the Rotary Club of Princes Town hosted a 3-hour Christmas concert at the Triangle, Princes Town. The concert started a little after 4:00 p.m. and President Debbie Roopchand who chaired the concert spoke of the Club’s delight in being able to put together the show at no cost to the members of the public in an effort to bring them Christmas cheer.

The evening was filled with a wide variety of musical performances including live steel pan performances and renditions of Christmas carols.

Musical highlights were the performances by the Moruga Secondary School parang band who won the secondary schools parang competition three times in a row and Christmas carols by the little children of Maharaj School of Music.

Children who attended the concert were absolutely delighted to receive treat bags from our very own Mrs. Claus, Rotarian Zobida Ragbirsingh who shared the spirit of Christmas with them.

The concert wrapped up a little after 7:00 pm as members of the audience begged for further performances by child of Rotary Kyle Ali who brought the show to a close.

The Club is truly grateful to its Service Projects Director Ms. Vilma Bellamy for all her efforts in successfully coordinating this project.
