The Annual Rotary District 7030 Presidents' Meeting will be held in Antigua on Saturday 19th September 2015 at the Trade Winds Hotel. 2015 marks the 3rd consecutive year that Club Presidents and District personnel will be meeting to discuss matters of import and concern both to the District as well as to Clubs in general.

The first Presidents' meeting (2013) was held in Barbados and focused on Club & District representatives coming to a consensus on what the long-term District goals, objectives and modus operandi should be and how best to maintain some level of standard and sustainability. The result of the one-day forum was the production of the first Manual of Procedure and three-year Strategic Plan for District 7030. Today, both of these documents assist in guiding both Club and District leaders towards more efficient and effective practices in the workings of Rotary, and therefore facilitating good governance, as well as, ultimately contributing to the better functioning of Clubs and their work.

The second Presidents' meeting (2014) was held in Trinidad and was expanded to three days. The main objectives were to have discussions with and input from clubs on training within District 7030 as well as how best to setup a permanent District Training Team. This in turn led to the development of a resolution to formalize the District Training Team as official part and body of Rotary District 7030 at the 2015 District 7030 Conference and Assembly in Suriname. Other matters including updates on District Administration, Rotary Foundation and District 7030, as well as, a proposed District Training Plan were round-tabled and discussed by all.

In similar fashion, the 2015 Presidents' Meeting seeks to once again bring together leaders within District 7030 to discuss pertinent issues in an open and collaborative setting. This year, the one-day meeting in Antigua aims to center on the District Foundation and RI's New Grants Model - particularly on how best to facilitate Clubs in accessing foundation funding for projects and activities. Clubs are encouraged to send their respective President (or other representative) so as to ensure that as many of the diverse perspectives, opinions, needs and limitations within our District are well represented, voiced and considered in making any decision and planning the best way forward.

As always, the Annual District 7030 Presidents' Meeting not only serves as a forum for a District agenda, but also allows for Club leaders to meet each other and share a variety of experiences, practices, wisdom and stories that more often than not provide new and useful perspectives, ideas and solutions to many common issues faced by Clubs. And, of course, we cannot forget to mention the great fellowship that is promoted as part of all events in District 7030.
